I want to start by saying that Meggie got top marks for her project on Lloyd that was in the last blog update, we are really proud of her! She worked hard for weeks on that project and it all paid off. She and her friend Katie Reed also got highly commended on their science project and were put through to the Wellington Science Fair so that is very exciting as well!
Josie and Ellie had their cross-country competition recently. First they competed against their year group at school, then those who placed 1st through 6th made it through to compete at Western Zones against about 8 other schools and their top competitors. Josie placed first, so she naturally got through to Western Zones. Ellie placed 16th.

| Josie and Ellie's house is Innes since that is what Katie was in when she was in primary school, thus the blue t-shirts. The other primary school houses are Sprott (red shirts) and Fitzherbert (yellow shirts). |

She ran her little heart out and flew like the wind. Unfortunately in the weeks between the school competition and Western Zones Jo developed a terrible croup cough so she wasn't in peak form for the competition. She was disappointed with her results but she said her lungs were burning and it was hard to breathe - I think for someone still sick she did a fabulous job, she came in 17th.
