Last Day on the Slopes

We woke to a stunning, clear day.

We met up on the slopes with Ellie's friend Anise so she got to spend the day skiing with her.

Lots of longer lines since it was such a stunner of a day.

Exhausted after a great day and lots of runs - we even graduated to the intermediate slopes!!

Day two on the slopes

Our second day of skiing was a little more fraught. Before we even got up on the slopes we had to put chains on our tires which resulted in Dugald looking like this.

And here is the scene once we arrived.

So we decided to start on the learner slope to make sure we ready to head up in limited visibility.

We came in to gather our thoughts and everyone's hair was covered in ice.

Visibility had only gotten worse but there were rumours that it would clear so we sat inside with about 500 of our closest friends to try and wait it out.

Finally we threw in the towel and decided to head home .

Back down the mountain we go.

All's well that ends well.

Ski Lessons!!

We were up bright and early to get to the ski fields and get all our gear sorted before our lesson.
Getting the gear on was our first challenge.

Daddy and Josie are ready to go.

Lots of powder - yay!

Lined up and ready. Now time to concentrate and put the camera away.

After an intense few hours we met at the snowman to reconvene for a coffee break.

The snow boots take some getting used to, it was good to sit down for a little while.

After our coffee break the sun was shining and we were feeling bold so off we went to the real slopes. Everyone was brave and we made it down the first run in one piece. After that there was no stopping us!
