To Finish Out April

Over the April school holidays Meggie and friends went on their three day practice tramp for her Duke of Ed Silver award. It was a very wet three days and I was worried she was miserable but in fact they had a fantastic time and can't wait to go do it again.

Finally some sun - but it's cold!!

They met up with some HIBS boys at night.

Josie took an acting class over the holidays and they posted this photo to their Facebook page.

We went down to the War Memorial to see the light show celebrating ANZAC Day.

Ellie's Birthday!!

Ellie is 10!

Monkey Bread for morning tea. 

A rather sad looking birthday girl with her cupcake from a new shop in Marsden Village called "Sweet Cakery and Bakery". Ellie's birthday was during school holidays so I think she was a little disappointed to just be hanging out with us for such a momentous occasion. However she cheered up later that night when her friend Ruth joined us for dinner.

We did have a party once school was back in session and everyone returned from their holidays.

Josie's Actual Birthday and Easter

Josie's sweet friend Lucy showed up on the morning of her actual birthday with huge gift!

On her actual birthday we invited Josie's close friends that couldn't go to the dance with her to go have tea with us at Martha's Pantry. Maddy came a little early and hung out at our house first.

We went to Palmerston North for Easter weekend and Meggie played photographer in the garden. Katie was away at Easter Camp with church.

I stumbled across these gorgeous photos of Hugh and Margaret's wedding.

On Saturday the girls and I went for a walk in the gorge and also had fun playing with Josie's "selfie stick".
