July Holidays!!!

For the three week July break we took our first ever family ski trip and headed down to Wanaka. We flew to Christchurch and then drove to Wanaka through beautiful, snowy countryside.

In our lovely rental van. Pretty much the ugliest van ever. And nice pose Katie. Not.

Moody weather.

It got very cold in Tekapo. And of course we had to make a bathroom stop. Brrrr.

We arrived at last and were thrilled the local Mexican restaurant was able to seat us straight away.

Little did we know that would be Ellie's last night as a meat eater. So now I have two vegetarians. Ugh.

Waiting on our margarita, beer and chips.

Good morning Wanaka!!!! Kate and Ant let us stay in their beautiful home - such a treat.

First stop - food of course!

Then we headed down to the lake for a lovely stroll and some photos.

Ellie didn't want to pose with us.

Our sweet ride.

Last photo before we were off to the ski shop to get ourselves sorted for our first day of skiing!!

July Begins

Dugald, Katie and I out for brunch.

Ellie and Daddy Snapchatting while driving. . .  ummm

Ellie did some volunteer work at the Kitten Inn - she was a great help and of course she loved it.

She also got to share at the Junior Assembly about her Remarkable Time project.

And she did the closing prayer, very proud of her!

The lovely ladies I volunteer with at Bellyful - we provide meals to families with new babies or in crisis. This was at one of our meetings at our Area Coordinator Jacqui's home.

Matt's 50th!! A family celebration - I took this photo of everyone hiding before he arrived home for the surprise.

I think we got him.

Dugald and I went to watch the rugby with these two yahoos, among others. Hugh and Hamish.
