November, Part 1 - Rowing and Ricky

Meggie's 2nd regatta in Poirirua

Meggie, Annabel, Sophie and Katie

Some of the girls - Megs in the middle

Staying warm, fed and hydrated between races. Or at least trying to!

She's way out there in one of those boats.

Sitting pretty in the middle.

The coach helps them out.

Lottie and Katie watching the races.

Another regatta - prep talk from David in Wellington Harbour.

Beautiful day for rowing.

These two having a rest.

Ricky is growing! Meggie and I sorting out the clothes that are too small and getting some bigger ones out. So thankful for the donations!!

Chloe and Ellie chasing the sun.

Alison and Ricky at cofffee.

Josie entertains our little man while we are out to eat.

And Katie looks after him before bed.

Reading to the little girls.

Happy Halloween!!

We had a wet and miserable Halloween - but that didn't deter the girls!

Earlier in the day the dog and cat stood watch over the baby. Well, at least the cat did!

Jen getting a cuddle.

Josie and her friend Lucy were dressed up as characters from "Oz the Great and Powerful".

Vita, Juliet, Katie and Lottie. Katie and Lottie were the ugly step-sisters from Cinderella.

And one with Ellie the cat.

Meggie even dressed Ricky up in orange and black. Meggie went to a friend's house for the evening and they didn't go out, so no pics of her this time.

More October Happenings. . .

Katie with Kylie and Juliet at the Karori Normal School Gala.

This little man keeps growing.

Josie and Sophie at their
Grade 4 Ballet Exams.

Jessica, Sophie and Josie took the exam together. Josie got the highest score in her class again!

The girls with Ms. Tarrant.

Sweet Boy.

I organized a Teacher Appreciation Tea for the primary school teachers at Marsden and with a lot of help we pulled off a really nice spread for them.

The girls and I went to see Wicked in Auckland with Kate, Ant and Abi while Daddy took care of Ricky at home.

Also in Auckland Meggie and Katie had a cheer competition.

Their gym did really well and they had a great time!

Their team performing. Katie is in the center on top, Meggie is on the bottom right but you can't see her unfortunately in this picture.

Meanwhile while Meggie and Katie were at the gym, Kate, Josie, Ellie and I took some walks. Here the girls chase a rabbit.

Playing on trees.

Herding sheep - or at least pretending to!

Wills took the girls to Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium and they saw a penguin lay an egg!! Josie took this picture with her phone so it's not great, but so cool that they got to see it.

Ottilie came for dinner at Kate's, it was so good to see her!!

Meanwhile the boys took a road trip for Ricky to meet Grandma and Grandpa.

And when they got back to Wellington Matt and Alison had mercy on them and fed them! Here Ricky and Monty bond a little.

Milena's 40th

Our good (young) friend Milena turned 40 in October and threw a party to celebrate requesting that everyone dress in Americana. Milena is my American, sorority girl, camping friend from Chicago and I'm sad to say she has just moved to Auckland with her two children and fiance and we will miss having her here in Karori very much!

We went as J.R. Ewing and his niece Lucy from the tv show Dallas.

Matt and Alison - Matt was a fat American tourist and Alison was some famous convict that I can't recall. Not sure what this says about their impression of my beloved country.

Fleur and Rich - cowboy and cheerleader .

Kathryn and Mike - Minnie mouse and Top Gun

Simon and Katherine - cowboy and Rosie the Riveter
Linda and Murray - cheerleader and baseball player

Milena the birthday girl, Alison and Anne Marie.

Rhys and Anne Marie - sheriff and cheerleader.

Celebrating

Linda giving a lovely speech.

Linda, Lisa and Milena.
