Our Active Girls. . .

Katie and her Junior B netball team with coaches Tessa and Tamara.

Josie with her hockey team after a great win!

Katie and friends dressed up for the Marsden dance - I think they were genies.

Josie and friends bowling.
Ellie participated in the Primary School Soiree - she played drums, ukulele and piano as well as singing with the choir.

Ellie and friends before their cross- country race.
Ellie and Laura won the Masterchef competition at Jenny's birthday party.

Katie and her dance crew performed at a showcase, they were fantastic!

Dugald helping Ellie out with her maths homework.

No photos of Meg - she's so busy we never see her!! She has been having a lot of extra practices for choir as well as for the upcoming school production of High School Musical. Those things, along with her usual commitments for Duke of Ed, mean we don't see much of her during the week. Here is a video from school of her with her choir group practicing their waiata for competition. They did really well and were chosen to compete at Nationals in August!

Josie and Meggie were a part of the American contingent from Marsden that laid a wreath at the American Memorial Day Service at Old Saint Paul's.

It's May!!

Marsden mom's helping with the Open Day - Tracey, Leigh, Rose, Nicola and me. It was the busiest Open Day I've ever helped helped with.

Fun watching the Phoenix with Catherine, Glenn and Suzie.

For Dugald's birthday he and I flew to Auckland to see America in concert. It was a quick overnight trip - first time we left the girls alone - but such a treat.

We were on the younger end of the audience spectrum but not the youngest, there were a few 30sih-year-olds spotted.

That night the fire alarm in our hotel went off - and sure enough there was smoke and a terrible smell in the lobby.

We waited on the curb at 5am for an hour - me in my pj's and robe, Dugs at least got dressed! We stood next to Sam Neill waiting to get on the elevator once we were let back in.

The torn open ceiling the next morning.

Brunch bagels at Best Ugly Bagels and then back to Wellington.

To Finish Out April

Over the April school holidays Meggie and friends went on their three day practice tramp for her Duke of Ed Silver award. It was a very wet three days and I was worried she was miserable but in fact they had a fantastic time and can't wait to go do it again.

Finally some sun - but it's cold!!

They met up with some HIBS boys at night.

Josie took an acting class over the holidays and they posted this photo to their Facebook page.

We went down to the War Memorial to see the light show celebrating ANZAC Day.

ANZAC Day parade.

Ellie was named "Head of Council" for this term, here she is signing the leadership book at chapel.

This photo was on the Marsden Facebook page.

Josie at swimming sports.

Dinner with great friends - Jen and Nicky.
